The Total War The Fall of Civilization
Saturday, May 5, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM (CDT)
Harwood, United States
Storyline follows: Ripped from the world headlines.
Last February, under extreme protest from the UN, the governing party of Iran ejected the UN nuclear regulators and inspectors. Before the ejection, all material they had collected was confiscated.
This action brought strong condemnation from the US as well as the UN Security Council. Sanctions were proposed by the US but were vetoed by Russia and China.
In early March a stealth UAV operated from a base in Afghanistan returned live video of increased activity at several of Iran’s nuclear power plants. This activity indicated much more heat and power consumption than would be needed for research or civilian power generation. Shortly after the video was relayed, the UAV operators lost contact with the aircraft. The Iranian government claims to have shot down a UAV over Iranian air space during the same period. Satellite photos confirm the UAV was recovered by Iranian forced mostly intact.
At a rally in Tehran on March 15th, the Iranian President along with the Pakistani Prime Minister and the newly elected President of Iraq announced the signing of a mutual protection treaty. This treaty, structured along the same lines as the NATO pact, would require each signatory to come to the aid of the other if their nation was threatened or attacked.
March 17th, Pakistan enters an agreement to trade nuclear weapon technology with Iran for rights to 20 percent of Iranian oil exports. Cargo vessels begin transporting material between countries through the Gulf of Oman.
March 25th, in a political speech, the Iranian President again announces the need and sacred duty to wipe Israel from existence. Within hours of the speech, Israel launches a preemptive airstrike on the nuclear facility located in Parchin, Iran. Satellite surveillance in the region shows a large plum of radioactivity surrounding the area and contaminating approximately a 150 mile radius around the facility. Photos also show the facility on fire and burning out of control. Many secondary explosions have been observed.
Iranian government calls the strike an unprovoked act of war orchestrated by the US and places its entire military on a war footing and high alert. Condemnations are immediate from the Pakistani as well as the Iraqi governments. Pakistan as well as Iraq place their military on high alert and expel all foreign diplomats from the US and its allies. Nato as well as ISAF place forces on high alert.
March 27th, Afghan and Pakistan border is closed by the Pakistani Army. Clashes between ISAF forces and Pakistani border outposts erupt. US commanders in Khost call in airstrikes on Pakistani border positions.
April 30th, Iranian forces cross the western Afghan border and invade Afghanistan.
ISAF is unprepared to repel the large Iranian force and pulls back to regroup in eastern Afghanistan. Pakistani forces cross the border and occupy the region to the east of the retreating ISAF forces.
The US files a formal protest with the UN Security Council which stands silent. Iran, Pakistan and Iraq file a formal declaration of war against the US. Israel immediately declares war in support of the US and ISAF forces.
Within days a full-scale war is in effect. The US, backed by Canada, Afghanistan, Britain and Israel rush to repel the Iranian lead cabal consisting of Iran, Pakistan, Iraq and surprisingly Venezuela. At this point in time the latter is supporting the Iranian effort through material assistance only.
NATO has elected to not invoke the NATO alliance treaty and will not commit troops to the cause.
The entire SWA region is a battleground.
